Week 2 (MTC)

Ciao Everyone!!

This week just flew by. I feel like I just emailed a couple days ago. You know what they say, time flies when you are having fun. Its crazy that I have already been here for 2 full weeks and already started my third week. Ill be in Italy in less than a month! Crazy! I'm so excited and cant wait. There wasn't a ton of stuff that happened this past week but Ill see what I can write about.

Classes have been pretty much the same. We always laugh and learn together as a District. I love our District we are so much fun and get along with each other so well. My Collega and I are pretty energetic and make class fun. We make everyone laugh. Don't worry mom, we aren't the jokesters when it comes to the spirit we know when and where to be funny. HAHA. Our teacher told him and I that she can see the light in our eyes and that we will make amazing missionaries. I love our teachers so much. I talk about them a lot in my journal and in here. But they are really just amazing. Sunday was good. I didn't get called on to speak so that's good! But next week my collega and I are blessing the sacrament in Italian so that's gonna be fun, I'm excited. All the Italian districts (there are 3) play sand volleyball for exercise time every single day. It is literally so much fun. I have never liked volleyball a lot before, but sand volleyball is something else. SO MUCH FUN!! Tuesday night Devotional was really good. We got to here from Bishop Waddell the 2nd Counselor in the presiding Bishopric. He talked about the expectations of us in the mission field and what the expectations of the Simpatizzanti will be of us. The choir sang in that devotional too but it wasn't broadcast. We sang I will be Valiant/I belong to the Church of Jesus Christ from the Children song book. It was really pretty and I felt the spirit very strongly. Did you know that the Church is getting rid of using the word Investigator because it doesn't seem to nice to say to someone. I really like the word we use for that in Italian. Simpatizzanti, which means- Sympathizer. I just really like that. Also the Church is asking us to not call ourselves Mormons or LDS. We are suppose to say the full thing. We are members if the Church of Jesus Christ of Latter Day Saints. Pretty cool stuff. All of us Elders in our room have so much fun together. We have so many inside jokes and we just laugh all the time. I saw Peter on Wednesday!! I was searching for his class when he was supposed to get here and I found him! I walked into his room and he screamed "DYLAN!". Everyone looked at him because you are supposed to call everyone Elder or Sister but we didn't care. HAHA. It was nice to chat and see him. Hopefully I will see him some more before we both leave. I don't have a ton of things to talk about so if I think of more things to write about I'll email so more later today.

I'd love to hear from you guys, especially some of my friends. So please feel free to email me at dbailey@myldsmail.net or use dearelder.com whenever.

Love you guys!! Arrivederci!!
