Week 5 (MTC)

Salve!

This week has been a pretty good week! Saturday was just a normal day. Had both classes and they both went really well. Sunday was also good. Mio collega e io lead the discussion in priesthood on Recognizing the Spirit. And it went so well. Everyone participated and I really felt the Spirit. One of my goals for the MTC was to better recognize the Spirit in my life. And I had been studying it and practicing all through the MTC and have been getting better at it, but the discussion really helped me. Something that I studied a lot was How do I personally feel the Spirit and when I do what do I do with it? I would encourage you to do the same. I didn't get called on to speak in Church. But on Sunday we found out that there was a possible chance we could leave for Italy on the date we were suppose to instead of leaving a week later! They said that if on Monday we got Travel Plans then we would be leaving. We got super excited but didn't want to get our hopes up because we knew it probably wouldn't happen. So the rest of Sunday goes by and we wake up on Monday and go to breakfast. We get back from breakfast and I get on my Ipad and go to my email and it says I have an email. So I open it up and the Subject says, "Travel and Departure Instructions". I said " No way!!" And all of my roommates come over to me and we read the email and soooooo.... we are leaving for Italy on MONDAY!!! We rush out to where the rest of the Anziani were and started jumping around and screaming. We got so excited. So Monday was a good. But because we leave on Monday, this past week started a lot of Lasts. Tuesday was our last Choir practice and performance. We sang the EFY Medley, "As sisters in Zion/We'll bring the world his truth". And I absolutely love that song. I always feel the spirit so much during it. We got to hear from Brother Giff Nielsen of the 70. It was a great talk and he talked about living in the moment and what it means to live in the moment for a missionary. It was a great last Tuesday Devotional. Almost every day in class we get on the topic of leaving each other. Like I have mentioned before, my district is very close. So we always talk about how we are gonna miss each other and how we wish we were all going to the same mission. I love them so much. And hopefully Ill see them at the temple Dedication in Rome in March. There are only three of us going to Milan out of ten. So I definitely wont see a lot of them for awhile. But we already have all our plans for after the mission to hang out and everything. We have been teaching every class these past few days. And all of them have been so good. I learn a lot every time I teach. About myself, and how to teach with the spirit and through the spirit. This week has gone by so fast. I cannot believe that I will be half way around the world in 3 days. I'm so excited but  a little nervous. I only have a few classes left with my amazing district and amazing teachers. So crazy! This week all of us Anziani decided we wanted to celebrate "Christmas" together. So we all got Secret Santa gifts and we did a white elephant today. It was so much. I love all of them. Thanks to the primary for all those cards! It means a lot! Now they get to be in Italy with me! Thanks so much! This is my last P-day in the MTC. My last time emailing in the MTC. Ill play my last Pallo Vollo game today. I have to start packing! Holy Cow! So weird. Its about to be game time. Thanks for all the letters and packages you have sent. It really means a lot. I don't have my journal with me so once I look at that again and I see something that I missed ill email again. I love you and miss you all!

Arrivederci!

P.S. I broke my toe a week ago on Friday playing sand volleyball. I'm in a walking boot for a few weeks. It hurts but I'll be okay. Prayers for fast healing are welcomed.
