Week 6 (Italy)

Salve!!

I made it to Italy! It's literally so pretty.  I love it here so much. When we arrived, immediately we were greeted by the mission president and the APs. President and sSiter Allen are so nice! I love them so much! We then went from the airport to the tram where we did some finding. We had to try and give a book of mormon out on the tram. So I went to some random person and I started talking to them. I actually talked to three people. All in Italian. It is so hard to understand them. I can pick up some things but it's molto difficile.  I can barely speak but I try. Italians speak so fast and slur a lot so it's hard. I didn't give a book of mormon out but I gave a restoration  pamphlet out and the missionaries number so that's super cool. From the tram we went to the mission office and home for training and had dinner with the Allen's. So good!! We stayed in a hotel after dinner. We woke up around 6:30am and went to  breakfast.  While eating breakfast I was stared at by this Italian girl who looked like she was in her early 20s. But she just kept staring at me throughout breakfast.  She actually came up to me and started reading off my tag and I told her we were missionaries.  She then just gave me a wink and said Ciao ciao and then left. My second day in Italia I was already getting flirted with. Haha. From  breakfast the APs picked us up to take us to the church in Milano where we would find out who our trainers are. I was so excited.  So my companion/trainer is Anziano Lombardi! He is super dope. And I'm serving in Torino!! It's so pretty! I love my city! From the church we went straight to the train  station and headed off to Torino. Anziano Work, one of my roommates in the MTC, he actually is serving in Torino also so I get to see him quite a bit so that's awesome. Once we got to Torino we went to the apartment which is super dope. It's cool living on our own but we only had time to set my stuff down and then go straight to the church and go to institute. I met the bishop and his wife and she actually teaches institute.  Man was that an experience. I did not understand a single word. But it was cool to chill with some of the members.  I met the bishops kids and they are so cute. The little boy who is like 4 was playing with me and it was so cute. I love Italians so much! After that we went home and I unpacked and then slept. Today we woke up around 7:30am and worked out and ate. Then we went and got my promessa which is basically my permission to stay in Italy, so very important, which cost me 120 euro. From there we went grocery shopping and got all our stuff for food and snacks.  After that we went home and made lunch. Anziano Lombardi made some sort of pasta that was good. After lunch we went and met Anziano Work and his trainer and went and bought our phones. I got the galaxy j4 plus. Only 189 euro. Super nice. So the bike fund we only had to pay 50 euro instead of 400 so that was nice. After getting our phone we went and met our lorelle and got gelato and sat in the park and talked. Where we found a bunch of old Italians playing guitars and accordions.  It was super cool. They actually came up to us and asked us to come sing with them. It was a super cool experience.  We sang traditional Italian songs and other songs like Over the Rainbow. It was so cool. I love Italy so much. Right now we are at the church chilling with some members getting ready to start English class. Its pretty cool that we teach English. We will see how it goes.  Overall it's tough to understand  but it's so great here and I'm ready to learn. I'll send pictures soon. Also, I'm setting up my Facebook account too. So that's dope. Overall I'm loving it here. I love you all!! Ciao ciao!!
