Week 10 (Torino/Turin Italy)

Ciao tutti!

It's been another fast week. But a pretty good one!

Friday nothing happened. It's starting to get really cold so no one is out and no one wants to go out so we don't get a lot of appointments.

Saturday was another one of those cold days. Because we don't get to do a lot.  After I'm finished studying I don't have anything to do. So I searched our apartment for something to do and I found PUZZLES! Back at home Carson,Melissa,Eli and I would do puzzles. So I'm so glad I found some. I have done two 1000 piece puzzles since last Saturday and am working on a third. And it's not because I spend a crap ton of time on them. I'm just really good at puzzles Haha!

Sunday was good, church is always good. After church we met with Solomon and went over what we talked about it priesthood with him. And man we learned more from him that he did from us. It was about forgiving. And he said that he has no problem with forgiving. He said, " in life we have to learn how to forgive each other and ourselves. If we don't we will not be happy. If we want others to forgive us we mus forgive them. And with ourselves, we must repent to fully forgive ourselves." It blew me away. He is just so amazing. Anziano Lombardi had a member friend from Genova come up so he cooked for us and we ate at the church it was nice. After that we had choir practice at the church because we are singing in stake conference next week. So that will be fun. We were at the church for 11 hours on Sunday! From 9am to 8:30pm. Crazy!! Anyways it was a good day.

Monday we cleaned again. We have inspections on Thursday so we finished up deep cleaning the house. It wasn't fun. Haha. Other than that we didn't do much.

Tuesday we had district meeting so that was fun. We cooked and ate together and just chilled at the church for a bit. After district meeting it was about 5pm so we went home and then came back for English class. And that was fun.

Today we went grocery shopping and we are going to a famous Egyptian museum as well with the other missionaries so that will be fun. So overall a pretty boring week, Haha.

Also big announcement!!

Me and Anziano Lombardi have decided to become pretty much vegan! It's kinda hard to in Italy but we are gonna do our best. We don't eat meat anyways because it's too expensive and we have a missionary friend who is vegan so she can help us. We both made a goal to become more healthy and to get "swol" so that's part of our goal. We also made a workout plan.  We workout for 2 hours in the morning and 30 minutes at night. I can see the work paying off already! So if any if you have any suggestions of easy vegan meals we can do in Italy that would be great, send them my way!

Spiritual thought:
This past general conference in Elder Anderson's talk "Wounded" he said, "Remember, repentance is powerful spiritual medicine. Keep the commandments and be worthy of the Comforter, remembering that the Savior promised, “I will not leave you comfortless: I will come to you.”

I just love that so much. Through repentance we can receive strength. The savior will come to you in your time of need if you are worthy.

Italian is still coming a long. I had a member tell me that he can tell I am getting better. I am beginning to understand a little bit better. Speaking is still rough though. But I'll get there.

I love you all!
