Buongiorno a tutti!!
Wow another week has gone by. This week was pretty good. Anziano Cedeño and I are getting a long very well, and we are having a lot of fun together.
Thursday was a good day. We had a lesson with Sergio about the Plan of Salvation. He has already had all the lessons so we are going over them again but more in depth. We are making good progress with him. I really hope we can get him to commit to baptism.
Friday we had combined district meeting in the morning and interviews with President and Sister Allen in the afternoon. Well it snowed that day and made a lot of the trains and buses be late. So district meeting was suppose to start at 11 and it didn't start until 12:30. And it didn't end until 2. We were supposed to start interviews at 1 but that didn't happen. It was just a really long and crazy day. We didn't leave the church until about 5. It was good though.
Saturday was pretty good as well. We went over to our blind friend Vincios house for dinner and a lesson. It's always funny going over to his house. He treats us as his grand kids. Some pretty funny stuff happened that night. He was talking to me about before the mission. And he asked me something along the lines of " Dylan! In school did the girls like you?" I answered "of course!" And he said "was it because you are a good guy or because you are good looking?"And I said "both!" He started laughing after that and said I answered right haha. Later in the night he started playing music. He likes to sit and listen to music with us after our lessons. He turned on some Traditional American music. Like America the Beautiful and The Star Spangled Banner. I started singing America the Beautiful and then I stopped. And he goes "Dylan why did you stop singing? You have a beautiful voice, keep singing!" I was like... you really think I have a good voice? And he said surely I'm not the first one to tell you that. It just got me by surprise because I don't think I sing very well. But it made me feel good. He also gave me a present! He gave me The Adventures of Pinocchio the book. He wanted to give me something fun to read for language study haha. Man I love him a lot. He is a very sweet old man.
Sunday was just Sunday Haha. Church was good. A lot of people are gone and are going to be gone because the open house for the Rome Temple is happening right now. So lots of members are going to Rome. I wish I could go so bad!!!
Monday was a pretty chill day. We spent quite a bit of time at the Post Office waiting for our turn. Post offices in Italy are so crazy. You go there for basically anything government related or stuff like that. We went to try and get Anziano Cedeño a new personal credit card. And it took so long. We waited for like 2 hours. We got some finding in that day as well though.
Tuesday we had normal district meeting. And that was good. After district meeting we all went out to eat. We got some good ol kebab. It's hard to explain what kebab is. It's basically some random meat with lettuce with a yogurt sauce and salsa all wrapped in bread. I like getting mine in a panino. But you can get it like a burrito as well. It's very random and you have no idea what you are eating but it's really good! lol We got Sorella Gray the greenie her first kebab that day as well. Haha. She said it was so good! That night we had English class and like always it was really fun talking with Valentina. She has become one of my best friends. She is super dope.
Today I have to go to a culture class for my permesso (permit). I'm not particularly excited to go because other missionaries have told me that it isn't very fun. But we will see how it goes. So we are moving p-day to Thursday. Also something dope happened. I woke up this morning and Cedeño told me that in the middle of the night last night I started talking in Italian in my sleep!! That is so good! I'm so happy!
