Buongiorno a tutti!!!!
Well another fast week gone by. Crazy to think this transfer only has 2 weeks left! I will most likely be the one leaving so I'm looking forward to next Saturday for transfer calls. Anyways on to the week.
Thursday was alright. Instead of spending valentines with a special girl I got to spend it with my great companion Anziano Cedeño! Haha! We had a good day. We kinda just took it easy that day. Ate some good food. Hung out around the city. Did a little bit of finding. It was not that bad of day.
Friday was pretty good. We had an appointment with Vinicio Friday night and it was really good. I love going to his house. For whatever reason he really really loves me. And always treats me like I'm his son. He had me sing for him again. Haha its so weird because I always thought that I sucked at singing. Anyways Vinicio is something we call "an eternal investigator". He has been having missionaries over for 50 years. But on Friday he asked to come to church with us!! It was amazing! So overall it went really well.
Saturday was a pretty chill day. We went to the park with the other Anziani because Cedeño and Anziano Ruiz play soccer with a guy who want to take the lessons. While they played soccer me and Anziano work just walked the park and talked to some people. Played some basketball with some guys and just talked. Then after we all met up and got lunch. That's about all that happened on Saturday.
Sunday! We went and picked up Vinicio before church and walked him to church with us. Also Saturday night I got last minute assigned to give a five minute talk. So I did that on Sunday. It went pretty good. I mean this time I didn't tell every one I was aroused lol, so I guess it was really good Haha. I talked about how great things can come from small and simple things. Vinicio really liked it. After church we went over to Vinicios house and ate lunch together. He asked if I was tired and I said a little bit and he goes " okay well I'm tired too so I'm gonna go take a nap you guys can just chill out here on the couch and do whatever you want." I love him so much. He cracks me up. He came back out after an hour nap and we just talked and listened to Frank Sinatra. It was so dope. We didn't leave his house until 6pm. So we there for about 6 hours!! Whoops! But it's always good to be with Vinicio.
If I'm being honest I don't really remember what happened on Monday, sorry. I don't have any pictures for that day so that doesn't help. Whoops! Haha. I'm sure it was a good day though.
Tuesday Vinicio asked us to walk his grandson to violin practice with him. His daughter told us it would only take 20 mins. But we walked for an hour!! An hour there and an hour back! It wasn't terrible though. I get to talk with Vinicio and he helps me with Italian so I talked to him in Italian for 2 hours! It was good. Tuesday we had English class. And I thought Anziano Cedeño, Valentina, and Samuel how to play Scategories. It was super fun and we laughed a lot! It was a great time. We also had apartment inspections on Tuesday. It went really well. I love our senior couple. They are hilarious. We had some really old bikes on our balcony and so they wanted to take them but they needed to be taken apart so it would be easier to fit. I got tasked with taking them apart. It might have not been a good idea to take them apart in my church clothes because it got really dirty Haha. They had been outside so when I took the seat off a bunch of black disgusting water poured out and I got rust and dirt on my hands clothes. It was super fun but super dirty Haha
A pretty good week. Cant wait to see what these last 2 weeks of the transfer will bring. I'm sure they will be great!
