Ciao bellisimi!
Another week here down in the Dirty B. We actually had a pretty good week!
For p-day last week we went to Verona with the Sorelle and just walked around Centro and we went and saw Juliet's house and the famous balcony from Romeo and Juliet. That was pretty cool. I called my fam in a McDonald's there so that was fun Haha.
Thursday was just a normal day. Full of finding with institute after. The gans actually took us out to kebab after so that was nice.
Friday we went to Verona for Zone Conference. It was really good. I love hearing from President and seeing all the missionaries.
Saturday we were supposed to share a short message and give a blessing to a less active but he never showed up so that was a bummer.
Sunday was good. We went to Verona for stake conference. And that was also really good. I got to see Anziano Work! It was so good to talk with him and catch up a bit.
Monday was a really great day. We had an actual appointment with a new simpattizantti!!! His name is JP and he was investigating the church back in his home in Cape Verde and has been in Italy for a while. He has been looking for the missionaries but he didn't have our number so he filled out the investigator form online and the Utah missionaries put us in contact with him. He speaks Portuguese and English and is learning Italian so we teach him in English. But we had an amazing lesson with him. We taught him the Restoration and about the Book of Mormon. He is literally a perfect simp. He accepted to read the Book of Mormon everyday and to pray. And he wants to meet twice a week! I'm really excited for him.
Tuesday we had district meeting here in Brescia. That was good. And then we had another lesson with JP. Two days in a row! We taught him the Gospel of Jesus Christ and it went really well. It ultimately led us to feeling a prompting to ask him to be baptized. So....I was able to extend the invitation and commitment to him if he would work towards being baptized on May 4th. And....he said yes! He said that he has had the decision to be baptized set in his mind for a long time! I'm so excited for him holy cow! Just an amazing guy and an amazing experience. He actually came to English class that night as well. And he may come to institute as well. So he is super legit. But English class went well.
Overall a pretty nice week!
I'm super excited for General Conference this weekend. I love having the opportunity to listen to the Prophet and Apostles of the Lord. I encourage you all to watch it. I'm sure you will benefit from it in some way. I know I will.
