Week 42/43 (Cimiano, Milano) Anziano Lombardi Goes Home/Transfers!

Week 42

Ciao tutti!

Well today starts my last week with Anziano Lombardi which makes me sad. It has been a great transfer. I literally say this every transfer but every transfer I can't believe how fast it goes. It's so crazy. The transfer is basically over. Anyways, we didn't have a lot going for us this week.

Well really there isn't much to say for this week. We didn't have any lessons with our simps. We had a few street lessons while doing finding but that's it. Edgar and Teresa leave for El Salvador this week so they won't be here for awhile. But all is well.

I'm actually not sure if I have ever mentioned this is my email. But we have a senior couple here and they are the Humanitarian missionaries.  And so every Friday they do a thing called Friendship Day. Where they have refugee friends from different refugee camps come and they do activities and have fun and they have a job class for them and an Italian class. It's super cool. It's an all women thing so most of the days we can't participate, we are just there to set up for them and take stuff down. The Sorelle get to be in there with them. But we do that every Friday, its pretty cool. They also take us out to lunch after we setup every Friday so that's super nice.

Sunday was really cool. So because it's summer and we are in Milano we have lots of American Visitors. So we got to translate sacrament meeting for 2 American families.  It was really cool. It was my first time translating for people. After church one of the moms came up to Anziano Lombardi and I and just had a convo with us. She actually started to cry and tell us how proud she is of us and how courageous we are by going on missions. She said that her boys have some trouble deciding on whether or not to go on missions. And so she was just happy we were there. I really felt the spirit when she was talking to us about that stuff. It really helped me actually. And I knew before but even better now, that the mission is really important. And that others see what we are doing and can see the difference. Earlier in church she was talking to me about clothes and I told them that the big summer sale is starting soon. I told her that I had to buy shoes because mine were getting bad. And after she had the spiritual talk with us she actually offered to give me money to buy shoes. How nice is that!?! I couldn't take it. So I didn't.  I told her that I couldn't because she was on vacation so I didn't want to take here money. She was super nice though.

Tuesday we got to meet our new Mission President and Wife. President and Sorella Browning. We had a mini zone conference and just met them and they met us and it was good. I was a bit worried about The Allen's leaving because I love them so much. But the Browning's are so great. And they are super funny too. I think it'll be a good rest of my mission with them. I will certainly miss President and Sorella Allen.

So we have Transfer calls this Saturday. It will be interesting to see what happens. Because Anziano Lombardi is going home and we have a new president.  So there is a possible chance that I might train next transfer which would be crazy. Or I could just be senior comp. But we will see. It'll be a fun Saturday. I'm excited.

Week 43

Okay so I had this email written last week so I'm just going to add on to it for this week.

This last week of the transfer went pretty well. We got everything ready for Anziano Lombardi to leave which started getting really sad. It's weird that I wont be comps with him, again. And he wont even be in the mission anymore. It's so crazy. I'll definitely miss him. But I'll see him soon.

Everyone is still gone on vacation so we haven't had any lessons in a while. But still crankin out some finding.

So this new transfer I am staying in Cimiano and I will be senior comp and District leader. This is the first time for me being the "older companion", but I'm super excited. It will be fun. My new comp is Anziano Gage Cole. We are actually in the same group that came from the MTC! So we are both in our 7th transfer. So it'll be super fun. We both are actually super excited. He is a great guy. I've already met him because we were in the MTC together and have been in the same zone in the mission field before. So it'll be a lot of fun.

Well that's about everything. It'll be a fun transfer. Transfer number 7. That's so crazy.
