Week 71 (Piacenza, Milano) Almost got transferred...

Ciao peeps!

We had a pretty decent week. I always say I don't have much to say but I always end up writing a lot so we will see😁

Last pday we just went to Milano and walked around with some other missionaries like we do every pday lol. We also had interviews with President last Wednesday as well. We had a really good convo. He actually talked to me about possibly closing the Piacenza Anziani soon. Because honestly we do our best to keep ourselves busy here. We have an okay amount of work but we spend most of our time doing finding that doesn't give us much success. So President wanted to have a good talk with me about that since I've been in Piacenza for 4 transfers and know the most about the city. So here we go again, another interesting transfer call day coming upπŸ˜‚πŸ€™

We did a GANS(YSA) activity this Friday. After institute we had them stay and we all watched the 20 min Restoration video and marked Books of Mormon with the 21 day challenge. It was really awesome!! We invited them to give the BoM to a friend and share their testimony.  Hopefully we can hear some experiences from them!

Saturday was a pretty interesting day. So the whole closing Piacenza Anziani thing. President calls us up Sunday night and says, hey I just wanted to touch up on the idea of closing you guys. So we had convo about that, talked about the benefits and why it would be good and if there are any doubts about doing it. Then president comes in and says, well I think I would rather do it sooner rather than later, I would rather have missionaries doing good work in a city like TORINO where they can use the missionaries. Then he continued with, just go to church tomorrow and then we will talk. As if to say we were getting emergency transferred this week! That phone call was literally so crazy.  One of the wards in Torino doesn't have Anziani in it, so president wants to open them up. And he also said he wants two Anziani who have served in Torino before to open it back up so they can hit the ground running. And both me and my companion have served there.  So we thought we were getting transferred to Torino this week. But then...president called us up the next day and said he got a little ahead of himself and told us to sit tight for a bit. So nothing will probably happen until transfers in 3 weeks. But I could be transferred to Torino....I would be in the other ward than I was the first time. But I don't necessarily want to go back there. I want a new city! But we will see, I'll go where the Lord wants me to go. Anyways, I know that whole story probably doesn't make sense but it was crazy lol.

We also went out to eat with Sabbrian and Cristel. I'm not sure if I have really talked about them before. But they are just about older than we are. And they are engaged! They are getting married in the Rome Temple in March.  I'm really sad I cant go. I actually love them so much. Sabbrian is probably the closest friend i have made on the mission that isn't a missionary.  He is just super chill and a super good guy. I'm really gonna miss him when I end up leaving here.  Being in the same city for 4 transfers (almost 6 months) I have for sure gotten pretty close with the people here. It'll be sad to leave.  But on the other hand, I'm super ready to go. It's been a long time. And doing the same thing over and over again in the same city for 6 months is hard. So I'm for sure ready for a change.

Monday was a good day! We had to move district meeting to that day so we did that. And that was good. Being district leader has been really fun. It's a really good experience.  We were supposed to have a lesson with a simp we have never met in Cremona that day. So we took the hour bus ride to find out he wasn't coming.  He just didn't show up. And he wouldn't answer his phone. So that was unfortunate.  But unfortunately I'm used to it, happens quite a bit here. But we got to end the day with seeing my close friend Sorella Cooper! I got to serve with her for a week while I was in Muggio that last week of last transfer. So she came to Piacenza to pick up her permesso so we spent Monday evening with her and her companion and our Sorelle. It was so good to see her!

Yesterday we went to our boy John's house again. The one who lives super far away. But we found a faster way to get there this time so that was nice. We watched the Restoration video with him as well as went over the plan of Salvation with him. And it was actually a really good lesson. He actually reads the things we ask him and asks questions so that's super dope. He is a really awesome guy.  If we do end up getting closed (which is about a 90% yes right now) I hope the Sorelle can keep John going.

And I'm pretty sure that's about it. We are already 4 weeks into the transfer. Since it's a long one we still have 3 more But still! Anz. S and I have been together for a month already.  Crazy!

Well ya, keep truckin along!

Vi voglio beneπŸ€™
