Week 72 (Piacenza, Milano) Go Chiefs, and almost getting kneed

Ciao tutti!

Let's just say it was an up and down week.

We did the soup kitchen service on both Thursday and Friday mornings. So that took up both mornings.  The ward council decided that us missionaries should run a BoM study class every Thursday night for those members and whoever wants to come and to study the come follow me lesson for that week. So we started that this past Thursday and...no one showed up 😂 so that was great. Friday night we had institute with the GANS so that was good. Saturday we had a lesson in Cremona with a different man that we had never met. If you recall my last email we went to Cremona and took the hour bus ride to find out he decided not to show up. And to our surprise,  it happened again with this guy! He wouldn't answer our calls. So we were stuck in Cremona for the next hour until the next bus. But it turned out to be alright because this random woman came up to us and like it was really weird😂 She was talking with some other dudes about being able to defend her self and doing these really weird punching moves lol. And so when she was done talking with those dudes she looked at me and saw that I had been listening and so she pretended to knee me in the place where dudes normally get kneed Haha. Keep in mind that this lady is in her like late 60's. But coming from this, she saw my tag and asked what we were about. And so we were able to talk to her about the church and hear some of her story and get her number! So it was good! Also while walking around we saw this lady carrying 2 boxes on her head and carrying a bag. And as we walked by her I could tell that she was struggling and I got the urge to help her. So we ran up to her and asked if we could help. She kindly accepted and proceeded to give me the boxes from her head. And HOLY COW! Each box weighed at least 20 pounds! She was carrying around 40 pounds on top of her head holding it with one hand and carrying a bag while walking. We walk with her to her bus and we get to the rest of her family and it was so funny. Because as soon as the rest of her family saw who was helping they were like "ah perfetto,  i mormoni!" Which translate to, "ah perfect,  the Mormons!" I thought that was really funny. It's good that we have a good reputation to help!

During the day on Sunday was good. Church went well. We went over to Michael and Eric's again and had some sick African food! They made us fried plantains with beans and avocado. And wow was it good! Sunday night was the worst. Because I knew the Chiefs were playing to get to the Superbowl so I couldn't sleep. It took me a long time.  But good news is.....

WE ARE GOING TO THE SUPERBOWL!!

I was literally fan-boying all day Monday. It was just me going crazy because my companion isn't American but that's alright. I'm so excited for the chiefs. I really wish I could watch it but it's alright. I'll cheer them on in my own way! GO CHIEFS!

We also had a lesson with Alex on Monday and we set a baptismal date with him! So that's just awesome! It's for February 22. So not for a while but it gives him time to work towards it!

Yesterday we just had Zone Conference which was really good. We talked a lot about working with members and helping them do missionary work. It was good and we got a lot of great insights.

Well that's about all I got.

Vi voglio bene!!

2- I made homemade tiramisu! It looked weird, but it tasted so good.  Also don't worry I made it with Orzo not coffee😁
