Ciao tutti!
Well another week flew by. I literally cant tell you guys how fast time goes while on the mission. I know I say it a lot but it's truly crazy.
Let's see, last pday we went to Milano and we balled with all the boys. We had a good 5 on 5 game going and it was pretty fun. It's always a good time balling out with the boys. We came back home and grabbed some food and then went to the church and called home. We also had English class as well. And this week people actually came. So I got to meet some new peeps. They said I spoke really good Italian so that's pretty sick, lol. Actually a lot of people have been complimenting me on my Italian here in Busto. Like my first Sunday I was talking to a member and be was like, "you've been in Italy for awhile haven't you" , I was like " ya it's been some time", and he said , "ya you can hear it, you almost sound like an Italian ". Wow what a compliment!! That made me feel pretty good about myself.
We also had interviews with President on pday as well. So it was good to talk with him.
Thursday, you know I don't really remember what happened on Thursday. I think it was kinda just one of our routine days. Not much happened.
Friday we had a cool finding experience. Not much came out of it but it was cool. We were walking down the beautiful streets on Italy and these two guys stop us. That doesn't happened very often where people stop us. And they said I know who you guys are. And so we asked who we were. And they were like oh the Mormons. Haha, so we had convo with them about how they met the church and stuff like that, one of the guys spoke English so we invited him to English class. It was just a cool experience and they were super nice. Told us where to find them during the week if we ever wanted to talk with them. So we may hit them up sometime.
For Saturday we had another lesson with Mimmo and Antonella. Mimmo had a tough week with work so he wasn't able o read much but he said he did good with his prayers which is great. We are still working closely with Mimmo. He is kind of our priority right now. So hopefully things can go well for him.
Sunday was great. President and Sorella Browning came so they could see the new church. So it was fun to have them with us. I gave my introduction testimony that day as well because last week was wars conference. So they had me do it this week instead of last. After church we had a less active meal appointment. So we were able to go over there and have some amazing broccoli pasta and then some chicken. Buonissima!! As well as do a Come Follow Me lesson with them. The lady is a less active but she has a boyfriend who is not a member. So we talked with a bit as well. They are nice people. We then started scambio with the zone leaders Sunday night in Como. I hadn't been to Como yet so it was awesome to get up there and see it. It's pretty sick. Very pretty.
For Monday during scambio we just did a few pass bys with no luck. Did some finding and had some good convos. Nothing to crazy. We did a mostra with the como sorelle and us Sunday night. That was fun. Other than that it was pretty chill.
Tuesday we had district meeting. Our district consists of just us and one other companionship of Anziani. And they are an hour away from us. So we met up halfway at a mall and did district meeting in there. Haha it was interesting. But it was good. We ate at the mall and then drove back home. We had some funny finding experiences Tuesday as well. Just getting rejected all day. But some people were nice about it. Others were kinda mean but it was funny. We stopped one dude and asked if we could leave a pass a long card with him and he answered back, no you wont leave anything.
And then we stopped another dude and asked if we could share a quick message and he answered back with, domain and kept walking. Which just means tomorrow. Idk you probs had to be there. But it was funny. That night we had a meal appointment with some members from Cimiano that moved to Busto. If you remember I served in Cimiano. So I kinda new them and they recognized me. They are Peruvian. And so obviously they made some dank Peruvian food. It was a throw back to my Cimi days. South American food for days. It was actually so good. But they don't really speak Italian or English. Just Spanish. So that was interesting. But a good time.
Well that's all I have for this week. Things are still going well. Time is flying by.
I'm doing the 90 day Book of Mormon challenge. So right now I'm reading in Alma about Ammon. And man reading that while being a missionary myself is pretty sick. Ammon is just so awesome and a good role model for missionaries. We can learn a lot about faith and trusting in the Lord from Ammon.
Anyways, love yall!! Have a good week!
